Female-Friendly 4WD Day
All female members interested in participating in this event should have already received updated information. The event will be held at Adelaide Hills 4WD Park on November 17, 2024. It’s not too late to get involved! You can still book via the website to receive updates as we finalize the details in the coming weeks.
Feel free to share a vehicle or invite a female friend or family member to join in and enjoy the day together.
Committee Positions for 2025
October is here, and it’s time to start thinking about both Christmas lights and committee positions for 2025! If any members are considering joining the committee, please talk to me at your convenience. I can provide details on the roles we are looking to fill next year. We will have some vacancies that need to be filled, so please give this some thought.
Guest Speakers
At our last meeting, Zoe Marriott from Disaster Relief Australia spoke about their organization (https://disasterreliefaus.org/). If you know of any suitable guest speakers for future meetings, please let us know. We’d love to invite them to present at one of our social events.
Adelaide 4WD and Adventure Show
The Adelaide 4WD and Adventure Show, along with the Caravan and Camping Show, provides a great opportunity for the Club to connect with potential new members. Many new members have joined after visiting our stand at these events.
The next show will be held from October 25th to 27th, and Derek is looking for volunteers to help staff the stand for half-day shifts. If you can assist, please contact Derek. Once your shift is complete, you’re welcome to explore the rest of the show!
Club Notifications
Members may have noticed a change in how they receive notifications about upcoming events. We have cancelled our Mailchimp subscription, as our Member Jungle software now handles event notifications as part of our monthly subscription.
Club Christmas Party
One of the many benefits of the Club is the camaraderie between members, and our Christmas weekend is a great example of this. It’s always a fun couple of days and a perfect excuse for a weekend away at Goolwa. More information can be found in Catchat, so make sure to book soon!
