Time: Dinner from 5.30pm (normal menu). Bookings essential! Please register through the Member Jungle app or on the club website.

Video - 2010 Buckleboo Stock route and Jellabinna Rocks

The 2010 trip along the Buckleboo Stock route, then to Jellabinna Rocks was triggered by wanting to explorer the Great Victorian Desert. 

Buckleboo Stock Route originally ran from Elliston to Buckleboo Station north of Eyre Peninsular.  We travelled the section in Pinkawillinie Conservation Park.

‘Red’;  (the President of the now closed Far West 4wd Club), suggested a track from Ceduna to Barton Siding on the Indian Pacific Line.  (Through the Yellabinna Regional Reserve.)

The complete track (about 300km or more), would have taken about two to three weeks to travel one way.  Many parts were very slow, with scrub covered tracks and dunes to navigate around. I checked detailed mining exploration maps of the Yellabinna Regional Reserve - 90% of the tracks were dead ends.  So the plan was changed to; travel along Buckleboo Stock Route and then to Jellabinna Rocks (about two thirds the way to Barton Siding). This was completed in two weeks

Unfortunately a lot of the tracks are now closed.

Important note:

The venue offers our club a dinner service from 5.30pm. Bookings are essential and must be completed through registering attendance on the Member Jungle app or on the club website - do not call the venue direct. Once you have registered, it is assumed you will be attending unless you update your registration in the app. Please contact Lance direct for late cancellations or bookings. The Long Trips Meetings Coordinator will manage all bookings with the venue, including meal bookings.
