2026 Lower Limestone Coast

Day and Date of Event: Wed 21^st to Wed 28^th January 2026 (Australia Day Mon 26^th) dates to be confirmed.               

Location /Description: Lower Limestone Coast SE of SA.

Trip Distance: 430 Km (approx) from Adelaide to campsite. (1600Km Adel to Adel including day trips)

Itinerary: Day trip’s

• Robe to Beachport, (Little Dip Conservation Park (CP), Beachport CP).
• Carpenter Rocks to Southend (Canunda National Park, Lake Frome CP).
• Robe to Kingston. Long Beach, Guichen Bay CP, Bernouilli C Res, Cape Jaffa.
• Southend to Beachport. Southend Beach, Rivoli Bay.
• Coonawarra Winery tour. (Coordinator required).
• May be a tour through the S.E. Forestry.

Visit local towns & tourist attractions!

Millicent, Beachport, Southend, Robe, Penola, Carpenter Rocks and Mount Gambier. Lake Bonney Wind Farm. Wineries in the Coonawarra and Cape Jaffa. Local caves.

Detailed itinerary will be provided closer to the event for those attending.

Fuel: Standard Tank.

Pets: No dogs or cats allowed.

Camping: Base camp on a private farm property near Furner close to the property's shearing shed, flushing toilet, no showers or power, showers available at Millicent Caravan Park (20min drive).

Campers/Caravans/Tents/Swags all OK

We do have the use of the implements shed for socialising at night.

Food: Bore water available, take Drinking Water.   

Vehicles: Good mechanical condition & STD spares. High range AWD’s not suitable.

Equipment: Basic recovery kit & tow points front/rear.

                     Sand Flag required for beach driving.

Communication: UHF Channel 17. Phone coverage at the base camp.

Vehicle No: Numbers will depend on when members are attending and volunteers willing to lead a group. (Max of 10 4wds in a group at any time).
