Social Meeting

TIME: Meals can be ordered from the bar 5.30 to 8.00pm
MEETING: commences at 7:15pm in the Sturt Pea Room.
LOCATION: West Adelaide Football Club

Meeting to update members on a number of opportunities and new initiatives the club is exploring. Plus an ideal chance to socialise with fellow members.
GUEST SPEAKER - Greg Chase - President Four Wheel Drive SA
Our guest speaker at the July social meeting is 4WDSA president Greg Chase. Greg will give a short presentation on the association and what they do for 4WDing in South Australia. So, this is an opportunity if you’ve ever had any questions about Insurance, 4WDing; Camping or any other related matters.

Visitors are more than welcome to the Social Meeting; please introduce yourself at the reception table on entry.
En route to the Madigans line we plan to travel through Wilmington, Marree, Eringa, Mt Dare, the French line, up the Colson Track(subject to permissions) Madigans Line, Birdsville, Birdsville track then back home. Following the route undertaken by Cecil Madigan across the Simpson Desert, we will travel west to east. A Deserts parks pass will be required. Note if we can't obtain permission to use the Colson track, we will travel from Mt Dare to Old Andado and on to the Madigans line. ...
Scenic drive through the Eastern Part of the Adelaide Hills, including a mixture of bitumen and dirt roads. We stop for lunch at the Gumeracha Hotel then continue through some more interesting roads back to Nairne. If it has been raining we may encounter mud and waterholes on a couple of roads requiring 4wd. ...
