Thank you for your Expression of Interest in our Female Friendly 4WD Day. Below are the details of the day for your information.

Our goal is to provide you with a day when you will have an opportunity to not only learn to improve your 4WD skills but a better understanding of what your car can do all a social friendly environment.

There are still opportunities for additional females to attend if they wish and they don’t necessarily need to be club members, as we would hope they may be future members.

However, if for some reason, you are unable to attend, please let us know beforehand so we can finalise catering and trainers.

This day is made possible through the SA Government's SA Car Club Program in which we won a grant to fund our two Female Friendly 4WD Fun days (second in 2025). A day like this would otherwise cost the club over $2,500.

Trainers

While our club has highly skilled trainers, we believe engaging independent, qualified trainers will provide added value. Independent instructors who meet the criteria will help create a more comfortable environment for participants and demonstrate the club’s commitment to the event.

Adelaide Hills 4WD Park, through their parent company, Australian Driving Institute, will supply highly qualified independent trainers who are familiar with the park and know how to maximize the training facilities.

Communication

Each car is required to have an 80 channel UHF radio. If you don’t have one of these the club will have units available to borrow on the day.

Male attendance

We also feel that the event should have very limited male attendance to ensure we provide a non-judgmental, socially inclusive space for the attendees to maximise social connections. We therefore discourage males from attending.

In saying that we understand that a few will need to attend, however they will be strongly encouraged to spend the day in a location separate from where the participants are undertaking their training.

Catering on the day.

Morning and Afternoon Tea: Coffee, Tea and biscuits/cakes will be provided at no cost.

Lunch: Please bring your own lunch and water etc.
