Tonight’s meeting will feature the second half (45 minutes) of the Leyland Brothers historic West – East crossing of Australia in 1966 – from Steep Point in W.A. to Cape Byron in NSW. The original film of the crossing was shown in community halls throughout Australia.

We hear what inspired them to undertake such a journey, their reactions to seeing people and places that so inspired them on their first journey and find out how the Leyland’s adventures helped spawn the 4x4 revolution in Australia.

The Leyland Brothers and their journeys across this country have become a part of Australian T.V. history. For Years, millions of Australians saw parts of this country they’d never seen before, simply because someone somewhere had “asked the Leylands”.
