Victorian Alps ADVENTURE Trip

Event Name: VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY (Adventure) 2025/6

Date of Event: 27^th Dec 2025 to 11th January (TBC) (at pre-tip meeting).

Location: Victorian High Country.

Trip Standard: Medium to Hard-Hard (Good 4WD experience a must).

Trip Distance: Up to 2500 Km

Itinerary: General touring of the Victorian Alps using graded or well-worn to unmaintained tracks, Itinerary dependant on track closures, weather conditions, participants input etc. this is a vehicle based trip where we move most days to a new bush camp. (may be a night or so in a Caravan Park).

Please note some tracks are overgrown & rough, scratching & damage to the under body, side steps, tow bars etc may occur.

Fuel: 120 litres (petrol) 90 L (Diesel) approx.

Pets: No dogs or cats allowed.

Maps: Hema – Victoria the High Country, MAP or ATLAS and GUIDE.

Camping: Bush camping, Water available from rivers & streams at camps. Most camps are free.

Campfires when no fire bans.

Food: For 21 days (basic supplies available in several towns). Carry drinking water.

Vehicles: Good mechanical condition & carry STD spares list. 

Autos may not be suitable dependant on make & model.

All Terrain tyres required with 5mm tread depth as a minimum.

Equipment: Basic recovery kit & tow points front/rear, (Volunteer to bring a chainsaw required).

Communication: UHF Channel 17.  Club sat phone will be available.
