Lake Eyre and Cooper Creek -- August 2010
The goal for the trip was to cross Cooper Creek on the temporary Ferry and go out to look at the Goonamillera Track crossing Eyre Creek (28 km north of the QAA Line & 60 km N.E. of Big Red). Our planned home route was to Innamincka & the Strzelecki Track.
All plans changed when we reached Innamincka - the only track open was the one we had come down from Birdsville. While filling with fuel next morning, we spoke to a grader driver who was on his way to remove the Road Closed signs from the Bore Track - from here our route was 'take any track that was pointing generally South and wasn't wearing a Road Closed sign'. Video is 62 minutes.
